Leach Botanical Garden is celebrating its 40th anniversary year with a variety of festive offerings! The commemoration culminates in a weekend of activities August 17-18 featuring art, music, tours and more.

Below is the schedule and program info. Advance tickets are available online or via walk-up during regular garden hours. Free admission for Garden members, $5 regular daily admission, and children 5 and under receive free admission. Our Garden for All program provides free admission to support individuals or families for which admission fees present a barrier to entry.

SATURDAY AUGUST 17TH

Botanical Art Fundraiser: 10am - 3:45pm

Artwork from over 100 local artists will be on display in the historic Manor House for visitors to enjoy. Each piece will be available for purchase for $40, and we are thankful to all the artists for donating their beautiful work! The 6x6” canvas for this program was donated by Blick Art Materials, and all proceeds from the sale of artwork supports the Garden’s mission of offering immersive, restorative, and educational experiences in a unique landscape of native plants and horticultural collections for the purpose of building community, celebrating nature, and inspiring environmental stewardship.

Stone Cabin Tours: 10:30am - 2pm

Take a peek at the charming Stone Cabin and Outdoor Fireplace on the south side of Johnson Creek. This tour gives visitors access to a section of the Garden that is temporarily inaccessible. Visitors should be prepared to walk on steep stairs and uneven trails.

Curated by Adam Eccleston, the concert will highlight the captivating fusion of classical and jazz music, showcasing original compositions by Daniel Velasquez and the "Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio" by Claude Bolling. This unique blend of musical styles celebrates the versatility and

creativity of the performers, all of whom have diverse and multifaceted careers. Bring a picnic to enjoy on the Garden lawn while listening to the performers.

Special After Hours Ticketed Event - Sturgeon Moon Gongstravaganza: 5-6:30pm

Members: $25, Non-Members: $30

Gather for a Sturgeon Moon Gongstravaganza in a peaceful setting amongst the trees. A gong bath is a form of sound therapy that helps you relax and reduce stress. The gongs' sounds mix with the evening noises of the forest. Through their intuitive blending, Vani, Betsy and Katy create a sonic tapestry that resonates with the energies of the participants and the surrounding environment. Each gong tone helps release tension and brings a deep sense of calm. This harmony acts as a catalyst, amplifying the healing and transformative effects of the gongbath experience. Although the moon hasn't risen yet, its presence is palpable. This will be an invigorating night to remember!
