Our Business Sponsors are listed at  They are all amazing and knowing the space is always a benefit! Although choosing one of our sponsors is recommended, renters may choose their own caterer and other vendors.  With prior approval and the appropriate insurance renters may provide their own food and beverages.  We expect renters to review the Garden’s expectations regarding scheduling, catering, cleanup, load-in and load-out and similar issues with vendors.
What event space is available for rent and what is the maximum guest count?

Leach Botanical Garden rents the indoor Manor House Fireplace Room and adjacent outdoor East Terrace as a combined, single venue.


The Manor House Fireplace Room can accommodate up to 40 people comfortably at a seated reception or up to 24 people for a business retreat. Our outdoor East Terrace can seat up to 90 people comfortably at a seated reception. Since our East Terrace is open to the elements, we do require a Rain Plan for guest counts above 50 people.


Our maximum capacity for both indoor and outdoor spaces is 100 people.

How much does it cost to rent the venue space at Garden?

The venue Rental cost is comprised of the following: 

1. Venue Rental Fee (varies) — Email rentals(at) for details.
2. $300 Security Deposit.
3. Event Insurance is required.
4. Rain Plan is required for guest counts above 50 people.

What is included in the venue Rental Fee?
  • Event Rental Period — Email rentals(at) for details.
  • East Terrace, Manor House Fireplace Room and main floor including the Dining Room, Kitchen and Nook for food staging only, and 2 restrooms.
  • Parking lot with 32 spaces plus 2 Disabled Persons Permit Parking spaces.
  • White, folding ceremony chairs and tables from our onsite inventory for up to 90 people at a seated reception, including set-up and break-down of these items only.
  • Market Lighting above the East Terrace 
  • An Event Rental Representative will be onsite during your event and will be able to assist with venue-related needs.
  • 100-person maximum.
  • If you are holding both a wedding ceremony and reception at the Garden:
    • Separate dressing rooms with restrooms for wedding party use.
    • 1-hour wedding ceremony rehearsal to be scheduled 30-days prior to event date from 9am – 12pm, subject to Garden availability. Rehearsals scheduled after Garden hours may incur a fee. 
What times of the day can the venue space be rented?

Leach Botanical Garden can be rented for weddings and private social events from 2:00pm – 10:00pm, Thursday - Sunday. Music must be turned off at 9:00pm. Rental hour extensions have an additional fee and adjustments to an earlier rental time are subject to Garden approval.


Nonprofit retreats and similar business events are typically scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays during the daytime.

How do I hold a date?

Leach Botanical Garden requires a Rental Agreement with a Non-Refundable Rental Fee Deposit (25% of Rental Fee) to secure your event date. We do not hold dates without a Rental Agreement and Rental Deposit, but are glad to advise if another party is interested in the same date.

How much is the Rental Fee deposit and what is the Payment Schedule?
  • A Non-Refundable Rental Fee Deposit is 25% of the venue Rental Fee and is due upon receipt of the Rental Agreement; the Rental Fee Balance is due 90-days prior to event date.
  • A $300 Security Deposit is due 60-days prior to event date.
  • A Rain Plan is required for guest counts above 50.
What is a Rain Plan?

Our East Terrace is open to the elements and Rain Plans are required for guest counts above 50.


Rain Plans typically include reserving a tent option through the Garden and creating alternate floor layouts in case of rainy weather.

Can I provide my own food and beverage?

Leach Botanical Garden has an amazing preferred list of full-service caterers who look forward to creating a custom menu for your special event.


We do not allow self-catering. Drop-off catering is subject to Garden approval. We do have a Catering Buy-Out fee; all outside vendors are subject to Garden approval. Dessert and beverage vendors are not subject to Catering Buy-Out fees, but are subject to Garden approval. Email rentals(at) for more details.

Can alcoholic beverages be served at a Rental Event?

Yes, a Garden-approved caterer or vendor with an OLCC license may serve all alcoholic beverages, and Host Liquor Liability Insurance is required.

What is the Music/Noise policy at the Garden?

Music must be turned off by 9:00pm. Email rentals(at) for more information.

Does the Garden provide a Wedding Planner or Day-of Coordinator?

No, the Garden does not provide Wedding Planner or Day-of Coordinator.  An Event Rental Representative is present on the day of your event to assist with venue-related needs.

Is Event Insurance required to rent the venue space?

Yes, Leach Botanical Garden requires Event Insurance for all event rentals at the Garden.  Insurance certificate of liability is due 30-days prior to your event. Email rentals(at) for more information.

Is onsite parking available?

Yes, we have a free Garden parking lot with 32 spaces and 2 Disabled Permit parking spaces located in the Manor House driveway. Unimproved, overflow parking near the Upper Garden may be available. We encourage car-pooling and ride-sharing.  

What are the restrictions for décor?

Leach Botanical Garden is stunning as a natural setting. Our garden and lighting provide ample decoration on their own.


Floral arrangements and bubbles are allowed.


Balloons are not permitted because they are harmful to wildlife and the environment.


Rice, birdseed, confetti, glitter, flower petals or similar materials may not be scattered anywhere inside the Manor House or outdoors in the Garden because of danger to wildlife, guests and janitorial problems.  Tacks, pins, tape or adhesives of any kind may not be used on walls, pergolas, beams or any other surfaces. Floral wire and Velcro strips may be used.


All Garden benches, flower pots and hanging baskets must remain where they are placed.

Are candles allowed at the garden?

All outdoor candles must be dripless and enclosed in glass chimneys – no open flames allowed.  Sparklers are not permitted. All indoor candles must be battery-powered.

Can we smoke in the garden?

No, Leach Botanical Garden is a smoke-free/vape-free property, and smoking/vaping is not allowed in the Garden.

Can my pet be a part of my wedding?

No, pets are not allowed at any time due to the fragile nature of plant specimens in our collection, as well as bird and other wildlife habitat at Leach Botanical Garden. Service animals are permitted; service animals must remain in control at all times.

What time can I access the Garden on my Event Day?

Your access to the rental space is determined by your Rental Agreement start time and end time. Your rental start time is the earliest time that you, your representatives or your vendors can access the rental space. Your rental end time is the latest time that you, your representatives or your vendors can access the rental space.

Once my event is booked, can I visit anytime I want?

Leach Botanical Garden does not charge admission and is open to the public Tuesday-Saturday between 9:00am-4:00pm, Sunday between 1:00pm-4:00pm.  Seasonal winter and holiday closures may apply.


We encourage visitors to plan ahead and contact the Garden to confirm that Manor House and East Terrace are open for viewing.
