Saturday Guided Tours: 2017 schedule 


Learn to find and identify Leach Garden’s birds using sight, song, habitat and behavior.


The Bird Tour on October 28th will began at 9:00 AM. 




Location:  In front of Manor House. 

Cost: Free

Registration: No registration required. First-come, first-served. Maximum tour size is 15 visitors. Arrive early to sign-in and save your place for the tour.

Description: Join Gardener/Curator on the 1st Saturday of each month 11:00am - noon for a seasonal exploration of the garden. 
All other Saturdays 11:00am - noon (March through October) join a Volunteer Tour Guide for an informative guided tour of the garden with weekly theme (see schedule below).

March through May       

1st Saturday – Gardener/Curator walk

2nd Saturday – Manor House & What’s in Bloom tour

3rd Saturday – History & Stone Cabin visit

4th Saturday – Lilla Leach Tour

5th Saturday – open subject tour


June through August     

1st Saturday – Gardener/Curator walk

3rd Saturday – History & Stone Cabin visit

Note: Summer tours are only offered twice a month.


September through October           

1st Saturday – Gardener/Curator walk

2nd Saturday – open subject tour

3rd Saturday –  October 21: Mosses & Lichens

4th Saturday – open subject tour - October 28: Bird walk. Since our feathered friends tend to quiet down by late morning, the tour will start at 9:00 am rather than our usual 11:00 time.

5th Saturday in September – Shinrin Yoku, Japanese "Forest Bathing Tour"



1st Saturday – Gardener/Curator walk (last tour of season)


Weekday tours (by reservation only/fee based):

Tuesday and Thursday only 10am-2pm window


No Tours due to large Garden Saturday events:
